Anson Cole Walters

Welcome to the world!  Anson Cole Walters was born Friday January 25,2013 at 2:04 a.m.  He was 7 lb. 4 oz. and 21" long.  He is such a good little baby.  He doesn't cry a whole lot, and when he does it's very quiet.  He is also very tolerant of his big brother.  And he already sleeps for 5 hours at night.  Woot woot.  He is such a sweet baby and we are so blessed to have him in our family.

Tave's first time holding him.

Bedtime with the boys.

He is almost a month old already.  It is always crazy to see how much they change in that time.

And as a cute side note:  Tavius just got a little recliner which he absolutely loves!

It's Been A While

Wow, I am not even sure where to start at this point.  I am due with baby #2 next week, but I am hoping they will induce me this week.  The doctor is willing to talk about it at least because I was in preterm labor from Thanksgiving until I hit term and they took me off the medicine that was stopping the contractions, and I haven't been having any and I am not dilating anymore and they said it's normal for this to happen and go past my due date a few days, but since I have babies that are large for me he is willing to discuss inducing me thank goodness.

Thanksgiving and Christmas were a lot of fun, I don't have pictures from Thanksgiving, so I will make up for it with lots of Christmas pics and videos.  We went up to Flagstaff to see the snow for New Years Eve, which was so exciting and fun, except that none of us like the snow.  We thought Tave would at least, but no.  I will also put a few others that are just too cute not to share.

He absolutely loves to color, which is what he was doing when I took this, but of course he loves to smile for the camera more.

 Halloween fangs.

Christmas jammies I made for all of us and we got matching Psych shirts (if you haven't seen Psych you need to.  Best show ever.), but I didn't get a picture of all of us together wearing them. Bummer.

The only picture I got of all of us on our trip to Flagstaff to see the snow for New Years Eve.

He is smiling in this picture, but he did not like the snow.  If you ask him if he liked it he will tell you "no".

This is the only picture I have of me pregnant.  This is me last week (38 weeks), and yes I got dressed up just so we could get a picture of me pregnant.  We picked the name Anson Cole.  We really like unique names that have meaning behind them.  Anson was my great-grandmother's maiden name, she was my mother's favorite grandma.

The videos are really good quality on our computer so I don't know what happens when I add them here that makes them crappy.

(The video of him playing it wouldn't upload for some reason.)

I did not know he was filming me or I would have been more exciting.

Too cute not to post.  He walks like that a lot.

An Early Halloween Treat

Since I think our little man is simply the cutest thing ever, I just have to post this adorable video of him.  I let him help me color some Halloween pictures to put up on the walls and he had so much fun!  There will be another Halloween post later, after the ward Trunk-or-Treat and after Trick-or-Treating with cousins, but for now, enjoy.

When I asked him, "What does a ghost say?", his response was, "Ghost say"!

16 Months

Our little man is growing up so fast! He opens doors, tells me when he needs to go potty, successfully used his potty today, loves to help with everything, loves reading his scriptures (he will sit and listen while I read a whole chapter), and thankfully lately has been happier about the baby. For a while he got really upset anytime we would talk about the baby, but now he gives me toys and tells me they are for the baby. It is very sweet. I can't believe how fast time has gone by. We sat and watched some of the videos of him over the past 16 months last night and he loved it. He loves wearing his ball cap, playing with other kids, reading books, sweeping, vacuuming, doing the dishes and laundry, and saying prayers. He jumps in during prayer to add his own bit. So sweet. He will even remind me when we forget to say prayer as a family before Jadon goes to work. We are so lucky to have such a sweet, sensitive, happy boy. He is going to be an awesome big brother!

Tave's First Haircut

Today Tavius had his first haircut! I can't believe he is old enough to need a haircut. He did not want to hold still and it was so difficult. It took a combination of me, Grandma Bond, gummy lifesavers, and letting him hold the camera. Because he was the one holding the camera I wasn't able to get too many pics during the cutting (also because I had to hold him in my lap with my arms around him), but I got lots of cute pictures of him playing in the water afterwards! Enjoy!

Before...
(you can kind of see the curls at the sides...should've gotten one of the back, sorry.)

and after!

Thanks for your help Grandma!

He loves to help water the plants.

And getting all wet! This boy loves water in his face!

can you tell?!

He also knows how to get your attention...by getting right in your face when he talks to you!
I think it's a really sweet picture though.

He liked the sprinkler, too.

Look at my strong, handsome boy!

This is just a cute pic of my boys playing on their tablets...well one is mine, not Tave's!

For any of you who may not know...I am currently 19 weeks pregnant. Yes, 19. Almost halfway!!! Baby looks good and I am feeling great! There has been a lot of movement the last few days, which is fun most of the time. And no, we are still not saying what it is. I tried to add a countdown here on my blog but couldn't find the one I used last time or any that I liked so I guess we will have to live without it. I keep losing track of how far I am though...but usually I think I am less weeks than I am so it's exciting to find out I'm further than I thought!
