The Post You've All Been Waiting For

Well, here he is folks, the cutest baby in the world! (And no, I am not biased :)!) He was born Monday May 16, 2011 at 2:58 p.m. weighing in at 7 lbs 15.8 oz. and measuring 20" long!

He is so handsome, just like his daddy! Everyone, starting with the nurses right after he was born, said that he looks just like Jadon. Neither of us could really see it though until I took this picture...

He definitely has Jadon's nose and chin and general face shape! So cute!

I think he is just absolutely adorable! This is him in his swing. He loves to put his hands up by his face for some odd reason.

The doctor asked me, as I was pushing, how much I thought he would weigh. I told her my guess was 7 lbs. 10 oz. and she and all of the nurses in the room laughed. They said there was no way a baby that big was coming out of me, especially because of how small I'd looked. They were all shocked at how big he was when they weighed him! The doctor thought he'd be around 6 1/2 lbs!

The delivery went well and mother and baby are doing really well! Daddy on the other hand could use some sleep...

Well, this is it...hopefully

Today is my very last doctor appointment before this baby comes...hopefully. It is the last appointment before my due date at least. I am beginning to think this baby is playing a trick on us. He keeps making me think he's coming and then changes his mind at the last minute. Tisk tisk little boy. Hopefully I get some good news at my visit today, and hopefully my next post will start with a picture of our little guy.

I am not nervous about having him, impatient is more like it. I am more nervous about the after he is born part. I want Jadon to hold him first because I'm afraid I'll drop him from being so exhausted. I want him to stay in our room the entire time. I am terrified of germs getting him. I am worried the hospital will give me grief about not getting his hearing tested (what's the point? We'll find out soon enough anyways). I don't want them to offer him a pacifier in the hospital. Basically I have a lot of opinions and I am nervous I won't have the energy to fight for them.

Really I am not that worried about it. Know why? Because I have the World's Best Husband!!! He is so sweet and caring and he does whatever it takes to make me happy and unstressed. This week for example I was having a very hard time because the doctor was sure I'd have the baby last weekend, so what does Jadon do? Devotes all of his spare time finding ways to cheer me up. He bought me Tangled! He made me brownies! He was always checking up on me from work. He let me cry my heart out as often as I needed (which was a LOT, and usually in the middle of the night).

I couldn't have asked for a better husband. I couldn't have even dreamed of a husband nearly as good as Jadon is. Together we'll get through this, even if I don't get good news today...

Good News!

Jadon Justify Fulland I put an offer in on a house and it was ACCEPTED!!! We are very thrilled about this. It was the second house we looked at and we knew that it was the house for us! It has the most beautiful kitchen, and the layout of the house is perfect for us. We cannot wait to close and move in! Unfortunately we will not be moving in before Tavius is born. We are expected to close sometime between the end of May to June 15th at the latest.

Once we do move in I will definitely be posting pictures of the house...and of course of my boys! In the meantime though if you would like to see the pictures online I would be happy to send you the link, just let me know either by phone, text, e-mail, or commenting below.

Other than that life is going pretty okay right now. I am trying something new and different called not complaining (it is still a work in progress) so I will not be mentioning how I've been feeling lately, other than happy about the house and that Jadon has such a good job.

This week is my little sister's Bridal Shower that I am putting together with the help of soooo many people! Thank you everyone! I can't wait. It is going to be really nice thanks to everyone's help.

My Honey Bear

I miss my honey bear very much. He is camping with his dad and brothers this weekend and it is good that he is having fun, but sad because we are apart. I do not like to be apart from him, especially for so many days. I probably won't see him until Monday night. I am spending the weekend at my parents' house so I am not home alone. It has been fun and all, and very busy and eventful, but I am missing my honey bear like crazy.

Unfortunately I get very emotional quite a lot. It just makes me more sad. But he is very sweet to me and calls frequently to check up on me and to tell me he loves me! Good thing he is going camping this weekend 'cause it's probably the last chance he'll have for quite a while to do something like this. And I'm sure it is a nice break from taking care of me 24/7 (although he always tells me that he doesn't need a break from me).

I cannot wait for him to come home!!!

6 Weeks and Counting

This is it...the home stretch. We've made it this far and there is not much to do but wait at this point. We are so prepared and on top of things. We have reached the point where if Tavius was born today he would be healthy and not have to stay in the hospital more than a couple of days (so long as there are no unforseen problems). I am so anxious to have this baby already that I am pretty sure it is going to make me insane. It seems as though I am just getting more and more exhausted each day. I take that as a good sign though. It makes me think I am that much closer to having the baby and being able to hold him!

I must admit, for as much as it hurts when Tavius moves around so much, it is sometimes pretty cool to sit and watch my belly ripple and move. I get the feeling he is going to be one very energetic kid!
