I am sitting here reading about my baby's development and I can't help but ask myself where the time has gone. Tomorrow marks my third trimester, which seems crazy to me. It feels like just yesterday I was sick in bed losing weight and wishing I was closer to having the baby and feeling well. Now here I am and I can't help but wish I had a little more time to get everything ready. I know I've had six months to prepare for this, but I've spent most of those six months sick.
I have been getting all of the baby things together and organized, as well as getting rid of stuff I don't need or will never use, trying to make space for all of the baby things. I am so grateful for all of the help I've received and for all of the things people are giving and lending to me. Whenever people offer to give or lend me things it feels like a huge burden is being lifted from my shoulders. One less thing to worry about. Sometimes they are even things that I hadn't thought to worry about.
It is a little bit funny to think I am six months pregnant and Jadon and I are seven months married. We just celebrated our seven month anniversary. It is the only one we have remembered to celebrate and it was the perfect one to celebrate because it was a year ago, almost to the day, that he proposed. Just remembering how special and happy he made me feel that day makes me happy. He is always so thoughtful and caring and patient and understanding, even when he doesn't understand, he acknowledges that he doesn't understand and does whatever he can to makes things easier for me. I am very lucky that he picked me. And I'm grateful that we will be having a son, who I hope to raise to be just like his daddy!
One of the things I love about Jadon is that even if he is already in bed he will get up in the middle of the night and run to the store for me if I really want something! Or he will show up with something that he thought I might like...he is always pretty good at figuring out what I want, even when I don't know what I want. Poor guy, he has put up with a lot.
